Founded by two former DHL veterans — a Tech Lead and a General Manager — Remmington Software was originally created to optimize third-party line-haul contractor services through extensive automation, aiming to address one of America's biggest logistical pains.
Ambitions quickly expanded however as three angel investors envisioned the opportunity to build a Business Development Company around the founders' sophisticated software and operational expertise. As a result, the company broadened its original scope into a full-scale logistics management platform, ultimately transforming Remmington Software into Remmington Capital.
The proprietary, patented software developed by the fund now serves as the beating heart of a rapidly expanding logistics network. Leveraging advanced algorithms, the platform assesses risk across multiple dimensions — from driver hiring and compliance screening to long-term profitability modeling for multi-year contracts.
In just five months, the fund has established a strong foothold as the 14th-largest business development company in the logistics sector in New York State. During that period, more than 1,500 businesses were screened, 86 buyout offers were accepted, and $109 million in capital was deployed.
By the end of fiscal year 2025, we had surpassed even our most optimistic projections, growing the initial $109 million investment to $182.7 million while securing our first ISO compliance certification.
January marks an exciting expansion chapter for Remmington Capital by officially becoming a DHL contractor. We now aim to support their most logistically challenging shipping routes between New York State and Australia.
